LEVEL OF UNEMPLOYMENT IN POLAND IN 2024

Recent research by the General Directorate of Statistics (GUS) shows that despite the rise in Poland’s unemployment rate to 5.4%, the country still has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the European Union. However, Polish employers report a growing need to hire new employees. As many as 96.4 thousand vacancies were registered, a significant increase that indicates a dynamic labor market full of opportunities for job seekers.

Among the regions, the highest vacancy rate was recorded in the Opolskie Voivodeship, and high rates were also recorded in the Lubuskie and West Pomeranian Voivodeships. The lowest vacancy rate was observed in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship.
